The Crossroads 5K

Sat June 25 - Sun November 13 Directions

General Questions

  • What is your policy on cheaters?
    • The Advanced Running Project stands firmly behind all participants who train with integrity and in order to support the overwhelming majority of runners and walkers who participate in our sport fairly, we have a very strict policy in regards to all dopers, cheaters, liars, etc. If we find that a registered participant has been found guilty of doping, has been caught cheating, or has been caught lying about their age or home of record in an attempt to win an award within the past 10 years, they will be permanently banned from all future races and their names removed from our results. Further, we will contact all race directors and running clubs both local and in neighboring states as well as local, regional, and national governing bodies of the sport making them aware of such violations.

We take these issues very seriously and will address them on a case by case basis as we are made aware of any rule breaking at our events.

  • What is the weather usually like?
    • On average, at 7:30 AM in late June one should expect humid conditions and a temperature in the high 60s to mid 70s. However these are merely averages and weather can change any given day. We will update participants on what to expect in the 48 hour window before the race.
  • Am I allowed to wear headphones during the race?
    • The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Advanced Running Project encourages a headphone-free environment during the Crossroads 5K.

We believe your race experience and those around you will be greatly enhanced by leaving the headphones at home or in the car. Running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and to enjoy everything the race has to offer. Plus, volunteers and spectators will be on course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line. Runner safety has always been and will always be a top priority for our event. Please be mindful of other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.
